Key Findings 

● Justification for the murder of Danld Trump has increased from NCRI’s original study in April 2025, from 56% to 67% among Left-of-Center respondents 

● However, this tolerance for violence appears to have grown on the right as well, with 54% of Right-of-Center respondents expressing justification for murdering New York City Mayor Elect Zohran Mamdani. ● Support for political murder is associated with pessimistic assessments of America’s trajectory. 

● Support for political murder is about 15% higher among females than among males (14.8% higher for Trump & 21.2% for Mamdani). 

● Support for political murder is associated with increased usage of social media. 

● Justification for killing Trump and justification for killing Mamdani are highly correlated, suggesting a generalized approval of violence, not merely partisan targeting.
